Disneyland Yay!

Disney Sea Japan

I have to apologise as this was such a big (and tiring) day, we didn't do much photography; there was so much going on and demanding our attention. The opening shot is from the end of dinner on the US Columbia dining hall. So let's start with a video of the elevator ride in the Grand Nikko Hotel, which shows the covered inner courtyard.

Early morning ride in the elevator, I was just getting a couple of things while the others were leaving the breakfast area.

We naturally started on the Disney monorail again, so...

And then started selecting clothes from the entrance shop so we could fit in :)

Julie and Clare each chose the 101 Dalmations hoody, which was actually good quality.

Kim chose a Mushu dragon jacket from Mulan.

And I got the only jacket that was big enough (LL) and most of the day, I was wearing Clare's 101 Hat/Scarf combination. It was freezing and windy.

Conrad chose a Winnie the Pooh bucket hat, which I was also considering (it was nice) but I didn't want to copy anyone.

We started with our first ride which was the "Tower of Terror" and then went over to do "Journey to the Centre of the Earth". Due to app issues, Clare and Julie went on the long queue while the rest of us used our fast passes. Ride was Ok. Conrad, Kim and I then went into the Jules Verne - 20 Thousand Leagues Under the Sea ride as the queue was short. Actually, the queues were good all around the park as it was cold, midweek and just after the Japan's national holidays. The Jules Verne ride was cramped and average.

We walked around a bit and then had lunch at "Horizon Bay" (the only place we could book).

How cool is the egg?

After lunch we went on the "Fantastic Flight" ride, which was my favourite (and sorry, no pictures).

Clare and I were getting buggered by this stage and we split off into two groups. The Kids went off and Clare and I just chilled in Japans idea of an Italian cafe. We strolled around a lot and went on a boat ride.

We walked around more (and we were freezing) so we hopped into an Arabian themed area and had some Tandori chicken for a warming snack (and some horrible drinks), then we decided to walk way across the park to dinner for what is probably the longest meal I've ever had. Conrad mentioned that he was allergic to shellfish and that really side tracked the staff at the restaurant and our meal ended up taking about 3 hours. It was really expensive (expected in Disneyland) and ordinary.

So, that's about it. The only way I can think of ending this is to show a picture of the toilet controls in our hotel. And it is pretty much typical of every toilet we saw in Japan.

You can put the image into google and get it translated, or a Mac will do it automatically if it's saved to photos.
