Passages of the 9th Arrondisement

After breakfast we caught a taxi to go and visit the Passages and Arcades in the 9th Arrondisement. This was really interesting and Clare could have spent the whole day here I think. There were so many interesting a quirky shops. But my leg was still bit sore after the knee operation and I didn't like standing still too long.

Lunch and the Palais Royale

We then walked down to the Seine for lunch at a cafe called Dépôt Légal on the Rue des Petit Champs for a really nice and interesting meal and then through a tiny arcade into the Palais Royale gardens

Louvre Museum

Once through the Palais Royal, we visited the Louve museum.

Toot Bus

A walk to the Hotel deVille

After we got off the Toot Bus, we had to walk to the Hotel De Ville and we passed this wonderful entrance to the Metro at Palais Royal – Musée du Louvre.

Probably the most stunning town hall in the world, the Hotel De Ville.

Tour Paris in a "deux chevaux" (Citroen 2CV).

The famous Moulin Rouge.

Dinner at Montmartre.

For dinner we were recommended a restaurant in Montmarte by the driver of the Citroen 2CV, and I was very happy with the choice. The food and view was fantastic and was located just behind Amelie's apartment (from the movie Amelie) on the Rue Garreau, called Le Relais de la Butte.

And that was the last night in Paris. Tomorrow we head home via Vietnam.

I need to go back to Paris. 😂
